I suppose it was miracle enough that the woman at the airport was able to book us last minute seats on an airplane that was almost all booked.
Now if only we can get there on time today…
Let’s see how this goes.
So first, the Uber driver we hired wasn’t moving on the digital map. Then the neighbor we had already politely said no to giving us a ride, we asked again. And he said sure. And then he thought he forgot his phone and that took us in a loop around the neighborhood for a whole min.
He had his phone with him the whole time.
It’s 2:44 P.M.
We’re supposed to be there by now.
Yeah…
Anyways, I guess all there’s left to do is smile at that camera in the sky and cross my fingers.
Lights, camera, action and if we miss a second chance at catching this flight, I will throw something (nonbreakable) against a wall.
Maybe a pillow.
But what was it my friend said last night? Stupid airlines…
But hey, everything in life happens for a reason.
Yesterday, because I got stuck in my hometown for a whole extra twenty-four hours, I was able to compose music to a song I’ve been working on for a while. “Mirror”. Actually there’s a post I made a while ago with the lyrics that you can find here: https://midnightmochalatte.wordpress.com/2021/08/15/mirror-nee-sunrise/.
And it was a lot of fun. Those keyboard classes I took this semester are definitely paying off. And the vocal lessons I took not only sharpened my voice and strengthwned my vocal muscles but also made my ears more attuned to discerning different notes. I may not know exactly what note I’m singing immediately, but I’m able to find it.
I’m hoping I’ll get this song done before the end of January. Maybe even mid-January if I work quick.
Consider this my promotional post for the finished product. Because did I mention I started a YouTube channel? HitaRocks! by Samhi C.
