Say NO to Selfies!

Just watched Bull S4 Ep9 “The Flying Carpet”. The fictional legal case featured is between a fourteen-year-old boy that got injured climbing on top of the outside of a resteraunt for a selfie and the resteraunt owners / insursnce company.

I do NOT own this inage. I do NOT intend any copyright infringement upon this image. I pulled it from Google which pulled it from this RottenTomatoes page.

If you haven’t, you should definitely check this show out. Michael Weatherly is an amazing actor. None of his sarcasm, wit, and humor from his time as Anthony “Tony” Dinozzo on NCIS has been lost. The only difference is that Jason Bull’s the boss.

As with most of Bull‘s episodes, “The Flying Carpet” is based on real world common phenomenon for the sake of social commentary. A couple of years ago, this fad of daredevil selfies began and it’s no rarity that some people literally died or were injured because of trains or bears or something else whack…

My question: Why are people so stupid?

And the more I thought about it, I decided on this:

Seriously.

It’s the dumbest way to die.

Our lives and health are worth infinity times more than a dumb selfie.

I mean, selfies in general are obviously fine. Even if someone’s of those people that click a thousand per minute, while some (including me) may feel it’s a waste of time, at least that’s all they’re wasting — and their phone’s storage.

But no one should go pulling stunts like jumping into traffic or going to the edge of the Grand Canyon or climbing on top of fucking buildings from the outside! I’m not even going to ask if it’s really worth it.

It’s just not.
