Seriously though, it’s a great marketing technique. Provided you’re not spamming people. It’s so easy to work into the convo that I’m a writer, musician, and visual artist and give out all of my social media and blog links.
And all of a sudden, I have more Instagram followers.
I also count as research of sorts.
Character design is something that requires talking to all sorts of people. And what’s a faster way of doing that?
Totally worth all the creeps that come my way that are as easy to get rid of as swiping left.
And hey, getting to ogle the many hotties and cringe at the many not-so-hotties along the way and laugh at all the terrible bios and marvel at the intriguing photos… all a good bonus.
