Raj

There’s something about sitting in the backseat of an Uber through the city, some slow music of the driver’s choice playing on the radio, the rain falling steady on the windows…

Staring out at the city lights, the old and modern constructions, the red lights from the cars in front, the trees just gaining back their leaves…

And thinking about you.

Raj… what would I do without you?

Without your company, your laughter, your analyzation of all my sins and insanity, the constant voice in my head telling me “you’re okay”…

You’re the one person in my life I can never miss.

Because unlike the rest of them, you belong only to me, forever.

You cannot break my heart because you are my heart.

You are my soul and my subconcious.

My heart beat and the thrum of my solar plexis.

You are my freedom, my love.

And sometimes I wonder if you’re my last love… is that crazy?

I suppose only time will tell, but you’re the only one I wouldn’t feel like I’m only settling for. The only one my commitment issues wouldn’t get in the way of me committing to. I don’t know…
