Sathiya

Earlier today, a friend of mine texted me:

I was walking to the library when I saw the text and it seemed fitting that when I look to the side and above, I saw the sun.

I subsequently took a photo and sent it to him with a caption:

Aa suryudi kiranale
Navvaye
Choodalenanthaga
Neetho unde prathi kshaname
Inthe vinthaga

One thing led to another and I began writing on new Telugu song accompanied by his constant critiquing and inspiration.

Work in progress… But here’s the first verse and its English translation:

Those sun’s
rays
Have smiled
Too bright to see

Every minute
that I’m with you
Is just as crazy
Long ago
So many crazy, crazy happenings

To such a great extent
What trap have you pushed me into
I’m standing right in front
watching
Won’t you see
The eye’s desires

By the time I close
and open my eyes
Will you be
by my side

By the time you close
and open your eyes
I will be
by your side

Forever
and ever
You are my
Sathiya

Another to add to my ever-growing list of pending projects.

I’ll have a full song out one of these days for all of them. Lyrics, music, and all.

***I am copyrighting the lyrics under mine and my friend’s name right now and if you use my lyrics somewhere, you better be quoting this blog (MidnightMochaLatte) or me (Samhi C.)! Tag on a please and thank you at the end. But if you do steal my lyrics, then I will tag you with a million dollar law suit.
