Oh, so many options. Which one to choose?
Don’t worry, I’m not talkin’ about men this time. I’m talking about novel. Spdcifically, which novel I should focus on finishing writing this summer.
I have one solid novel out for which I can write a sequel. I can rewrite the other few full novels I have from years prior that never got published because though the stories are good, the writing itself is terrible. I have exactly two in mind. I have four other solid projects that have a couple of chapters or an outline or something going and I’m just now getting a full sense of where I want the stories to go. Then a thousand and one little snippets and ideas.
I want to get another book out there by end of summer. Or at the very least finish writing and revising one and push it to the editing stage by the fall sem.
But which one?
How do you choose?
Unsurprisingly enough, you choose to write the way you choose to love. It starts with a feeling. And if it’s strong enough, good enough, act on it.
Out of all the projects I have on my table… there’s one that’s been calling out to me, whispering my name, luring me into daydreams of tidal waves and underwater caves and colorful tails swishing every which way.
I’ve had this one mermaid story in my head for a while and even came up with a couple of chapters. But one of the plot points was just off. And I didn’t what to change it to. Until recently.
I think I have a better idea of which way the story’s turning now. Enough to revise it. And write the rest.
So Makayla, here I come.
