Anarchy

***I wrote this poem some time last year and just now found it in my Google Drive. Thought I’d share…

We, the people of the world,
multiple nations, consistently dividing,
on the basis of language, country,
color, and creed.

A flag for a father, a flag for his child;
a flag for your mother, and one for mine.
Living under the same roof,
living on the same street,
neighbor to neighbor,
a flag for you and a flag for me.

You rule your world,
I rule mine.
You break your rules,
I break mine.
No immorality.
No accountability.
No unity.
No individuality.

No one to compete with,
no one to share the blame
when all hell breaks loose
on this hell we call:

Home to
Autonomy,
Autocracy,
& Anarchy.
